Finger pinch or form?

I am experiencing numbness in my middle finger and was wondering if this is due to finger pinch or my form.  My draw length is about 26 inches.

I have been shooting a recurve for about 6 months and my first bow is a 62 inch.  When I first started my ring finger was numb and after reading found this was a result of poor form and putting too much pressure on my ring finger.

I recently purchased a new 58 inch bow and now my middle finger is numb.  I don't feel anything different with my fingers between the two bows, but would like to not have a numb finger all the time.  Also not sure if this is the problem but I am using a thin glove.

@ a 26" draw you shouldn't be having much of any issue with finger pinch, even on the 58" bow.  Could just be that you're hitting that finger in a funny spot for you.  Try putting a piece of tape or a bandaid around the tip of it before you put your glove or tab on and see if that little extra padding helps.

I had the same problem years ago and I wraped the finger with white first aid tape, worked great, after a while the problem went away.I dont need the tape anymore.

Agreed as above the shorter draw should not be the culprit unless your draw weight is substantial. How often do you shoot & for how long? Split finger or other? For sure a thin glove can influence. Just remember plenty of shooters shoot heavier draws w/o any glove or tab at all.

I am shooting about 30 min every day and my bow is 47 lbs.  Shoot split.  Thanks for the input so far.  I will try and something under my glove.

Lowering your elbow might help.

It's definitely a form problem.

I agree with Killy........had the same issues a long time ago and the problem was elbow too high.

Your middle finger when your hand is extended is about 3/8" longer than the other two. This means thats the last finger to leave the string if you are not releasing clean(all fingers together). Work on a cleaner release.
