Charlie, Nice shooting bow isn't it? I've shot that bow several times, whenever I could wrestle it away from Morgan for a few shots. It is sweet!

I know you were initially disappointed that it wasn't a Bear recurve, like your Dad thought, but it looks like you're over the disappointment. Nice shooting and have fun with a sweet bow.
(Dad, you did very well!)

Great find! I keep stopping at garage sales and flea markets hoping for something remotely similar! Congrats!

That is a good looking bow. Great lines. I have had my eye out for one of those for quite a while after shooting one at a trad shoot about 8 yrs ago. Still regret not buying that bow.

Manny, You will shoot this bow at the Stump shoot although it is a wayyy too wimpy for you. I know how you like your 600 lb draw weight.

Beautiful bow Charlie!  I watch for auction listings when I get a chance hoping to stumble on to somebodys stash someday.  You're very lucky I wasn't at that one or you either wouldn't own it or you would be stubtantially poorer!   ;)

Joe,

lol, I would go with the "wouldnt own it"  as I am already the latter.  I was fortunate to have just sold a couple bows and had a little OT to cover the month's bills.

Chances are next Month I will have a few bows on the classifieds again for a just in case stash for next month.

Hey Joe, good thing you live in the southern part of the state, the competition up here in the Wausau area is more now. Not so much from shooters, but from interenet resellers and antique dealers. They have made me go higher then normal on several bows including the Kodiak Magnum I just picked up for Charlie. But that bow was show room condition and they pissed me off.
I have lost bows to these guys before, but their profit margin must be less now as I did not let them have them for a steal.
I keep looking all the time now thanks to Charlie.
Have a Happy Easter.

Had a chance to shoot Charlies recurve today after a 3/D shoot! Nice bow and it is fast...

Thanks Ron.  I knew you would like it.  You seemed to shoot it good too even if you used your 500 lb popular shafts.   :readit:

Maybe that's why you had a pass through on your 3d foam target   :dunno:      ;)

Nice find Chuck and congrats Charlie.  That's a great looking bow and looks to be a shooter as well.  Will that bow be joining you in the turkey woods?
-Jay

Cyclic-Rivers

Jay,

To answer your question; No that bow will not join me in the turkey woods.  I will be turkey hunting with my Griffin or if I can ever get around to shooting it accurately again, my G&L.  They are a little shorter and easier to shoot sitting down.

This Black Ram Bow has never been hunted.  YET   :readit:

I am sure to get a few scratches on it sooner or later.

You have a real winner there Charlie. It has the looks and feel of a widow PTF. It brought back fond memories of the one I let get away from me in the classifieds.
