Bear serial numbers

How do I figure out whst year my bear was made from the serial number?
Hoyt Buffalo   #45@28,#50@28, #55 @28, #60@28
Hill Country Wildcat 52#@28

Check out the History/Collector forum I think there's a thread with all the info. If you post over there they'll want pics to be accurate...   ;)

By serial number alone is only good for 65-69. In that range the forst digit is the year.

The "K" prefixes start in 1970 through the move to Gainseville, but that is all the K tells you. The second letter foten verifies the model.

And that is Bear serial number ID. In other words, serial number almost don't help.
Not all Squirrels are nuts....
