Wonder why the snuffer tamer file kits are not recommended for wensel woodsmans. I know I can get my snuffers very sharp with the tamer. I dont have any problem sharpening the woodsmans with a flat file, but it seems I can get the snuffers sharper faster. Just wondering

That is a good question. I would like to know as well.

there cant be any reason other than just dont want people to change their bevel on blades when sharpening....or dont want to be associated with the Snuffer.

I am sure it works on any 3 blade sharpenable head....just back then the Snuffer was the only one and for which it was designed...hence the name...but doubt it restricts any other head from being put on it and modified.

The former manufacturer of the Snuffer disapproved of them as they felt the Snuffer Tamer weakened the tip of the broadhead too much.  Many have used the Tamer with great success though, so I'd not think it a problem on the larger Snuffers anyway.  My guess would be the Woodsman adversion to the Tamer is for the same reason.  Something to consider as a Snuffer is stronger in the tip than a Woodsman IMO.
