I'm looking for some opinions on a good/decent hip quiver for target shooting/stump shooting can be custom made or something factory made if that matters. Thanks,Rich

Art Vincent of Cedar Ridge Leatherworks is the best there is. No better. He has a website and is a sponsor. I like his small cruiser for 3-D.

I just placed an order with Art for several items for myself and one for my father.  My Dad's Peter's Pocket Quiver arrived and let me just say the craftsmanship is top-notch.  I'm looking forward to receiving my two quivers from him.  Art's hip quivers are gorgeous and he's a heck of a nice guy!

I just received a pocket quiver from Art and I am really impressed. This quiver is perfect for target and 3 D shooting, and also has a compartment to carry glove, stringer or whatever else you might need while out on the range..

Bought a hip quiver from Big Jim a couple years ago at ATAR. Good looking, very sturdy and reasonable price. Does not have any carving or pictures. Roy
Maybe it is time to shoot what I have on the rack

Keep it simple by going with the Quiver Caddy by Mark Baker and a Kwikee Kwiver.  Excellent for both the range and for huntin' in the mountains.  My son used one elk hunting last year and he now swears by the design for a hip quiver....

Quiver caddy is a versatile option, and the one we prefer as well.   They are being made by Tim at Farr West Leather (sponsor here) now, and he's doing a fine job.   He also has come up with a new hunting quiver utilizing the quiver caddy bracket, called the Absorkee quiver, and it's a real beauty and super functional too.

Here's a pic of my son Kory packing out his buck, wearing quiver caddy w/kwikee.

And here's a pic of the new Absorkee quiver.  This pic is the prototype.  I believe there are pics in the sponsor classifieds of the new design, plain, and one with a knife option as well.

I haven't personally used one of them, so I can't say too much other than I sure have been looking hard at one of the offerings from Mike's Archery Leather:  http://www.mikesarcheryleather.com/other_quivers.htm
