I've been using the American Leather glove - shooting bows 40# to 45# - and like it fine. Try to try one on, so your sure about the right size. I thought a medium would fit me, but it turned out a large felt better. Good luck Dave

Have used the Big Shot for several years. I have one of Elk, and bought a Buffalo Big Shot at the Kalamazoo show this year. I have owned 3 or 4 of them. Very comfortable, long wearing, rugged, very well built, quality craftsmanship, and the folks that own the company now are really great folks. I give it two thumbs up.

Another thumb up!  I have used a Big Shot Elk for about 9 mos now and it is just dandy.  I am shooting in the high 50s now and I will need the Crossover from American Leathers.  The Bug shot is not stiff enough for the poundage....IMO

I've had mine almost 4 years. I shoot in the mid-50's with mine. It's still going strong. It's the only glove I'll use

I like the buffalo with nylon inserts. I shoot 45-55#. I like the regular big shot too, but the nylon one gives a clean release!!

I shoot 40-50# bows and the elk big shot works well for me. I use a size lg and it fits well. Other large gloves I've used are slighty larger, and fingers usually move a bit in the stalls.

Just got mine about 3 weeks ago. I wont buy another glove. I don't if it's me but it seems like I have a better release with it. I use to use the neet leather glove but after 2 or 3 months I'm having to buy another one. I sent a trace of my hand thru fax and got a call within an hour or two telling me what size I needed. While on the phone he said he could take my order which was on a Tuesday and got it in the mail Friday. They are great people to do business with.

Great glove!  I have nerve damage in my fingers, and this glove allows me to shoot pain free.

The American leather was the end of my seven glove tour. Was a staunch user of tabs until the American leather experience.

You may wish to consider faxing American Leathers a tracing of you hand. You want the correct glove size.

I have a Big Shot Buffalo and just ordered a backup.  Fax John a tracing of your hand.  He will tell you what size.  You want it taut across the back of your hand and your fingers should be pretty tight in the stalls.

They are great people to work with.  My first Glove needed a little longer strap than the standard glove and John had a custom made glove delivered to my door and took my slightly used glove in return.

I love how the nylon on the stalls feels--I thought it was odd when I first saw it but it provides a very slick clean release and is also VERY durable.

Only thing I will add is you will probably want to tie in your knocking points with serving as the metal knocking points can tear up the stalls.
