Howdy all.

Was just wondering how many members here carry a knife with them while out with their bows.

Thought I would see what knives the members on the forum here enjoy.

Cheers,

Basil.

I had Ben Tendick (srtben) make me one.  He is a sponsor on here and does beautiful work.  He just sent me some pics of the finished product.  I will be carrying with me as much as possible when it arrives.  Look over on the Knife making forum to see some of his art.  Hopefully everyone will post some pics of their knives,  I'm sure everyone at least carries one in their packs.

I also carry always.  Due to my job it is a Swiss army model.

When hunting I have a multi tool, straight blade belt knife and the Swiss.  All of us have too many knives (according to wives)

My wife always says I have more knives than I know what to do with.

I have a knife on me at all time...Almost... These days it is a Casexx small trapper, I really like it, well made sharp and not to expansive!

Grew up with a pocket knife in my pocket from grade school days and never changed.  In those days there were referred to as tools not as weapons as seems to be the catchword of the day. Now a Benchmade Leopard and a good old Case Trapper as constant companions.

Same here...went to the Holocost Museum in D.C. the other day and they would not let me carry my Spiderco Endura into the museum and asked me to leave the property. After a minor temper-tantrum involving the rule and how it should not apply to active members of military/law enforcement/citizens in gereral, I stashed it in a newspaper box of the "Washington Blade" news periodical (seemed appropriate) on the corner, pouted for the first few mins. of the museum and then decided it was a small issue compared to the history we were experiening there. Still not pleased with it though...

I like moore maker and eye brand pocket knives and when I'm hunting I carry Bob Dozier knives

I recently made the these two and carry the larger one nearly all the time (except when I'm preaching).

I'm not a fanatic but I usually have a knife of some sort.  If in the field or at the range I will normally have a leatherman and knife or two.

I carry a Buck Protege. Best folder buck made IMO.

This one is on my belt most of the time.

I think the only time I'm without a knife of some sort is on an airplane.

I misplaced my normal folding knife the other day and for almost 24 hours I felt like something was very, very wrong.

I use a 'knife system' when hunting as no one knife does it all, and I just love knives.

I ride a motorcycle daily so always have a backpack with me. The SOG in the lower left is always with me, as is the BK-11.

When hunting I carry the SOG, the BK-11 (third from top), and the BK-2 (second from top). The BK-9 (top) goes if I think I'll need to do some serious chopping, or might run into Bigfoot!

The bottom one is an JRJ and it's a favorite, I usually can't resist bringing it along hunting.

I'm ordering an Ontario Kukri today. I plan on doing some camping/bushcrafting this summer and it appears to be a great chopper/machete.
