What box call, or brand, would y'all recommend?  I've got some Cabela's points burning a hole in my pocket and a brand new Cabela's store that opened today 1/2 mile from my clinic!

X 2. Bought a Lynch Fool Proof back in 1965 and it's still my favorite box call.

Primos Heartbreaker is a very good box call.Good looking call as well.

I have killed a fair number of birds with a Lohman 870 box call.  It isn't fancy, or expensive, but the gobblers have consitently responded.

Lynch is the best production call I have used.
This stuff ain't no rocket surgery science!

Quaker Boy makes some of the best calls in the business.

Bronz,
Ben Lee Jr. still has some calls. I think he still has a few his dad made. You can find them on that bidding site, or you can contact him directly. From what I gather, A Ben Lee call would be awsome to have and use.

There are kits on-line.  X3 on the Lynch.  I only carry one cause they're big.

I'll second the Lohman 870 it's a very good sounding call.

You should really check out the Double Trouble call from A-Way Outdoors. Not sure if Cabelas still carries it or not, they used to

I own alot of friction calls, just because I like Turkey calls, have owned several good box's over the years. You could probably pick up any of the major brands and they would work just fine. What I like from a box is a really high pitch, I use them mostly for locator calls, and a really high pitched sound carries much farther than some of the deeper calls.  That being said, I picked up a Quaker Boy, Grand Old Master in 1987, it's been my go to Box ever since, it has a permanent home in my turkey vest....RW

That right there is why I would go with a Lynch fool proof. One of the best, least used calls in the industry.

Run the one before you buy. Production calls may run the complete spectrum as far as sound quality and consistency.

I have a lynch 101 that was given to me as a kid, made in 65 like me and has been on every turkey hunt I have been on. I have made a thousand calls this is still my favorite.
