I should add that I love a Kydex sheath for pure functionality. Nothing surpasses Kydex for use in rough, wet, dirty and abusive environments. They may not look "trad", but to me a solid grippy synthetic handled knife combined with a Kydex sheath is the epitome of git-'er-done!

Ringneck

I agree with you Kevin. They are bullet proof. I made this Autumn Hunter for a South African professional hunter.

I can get any of them if I don't have them in stock.

Black,brown,olive,butterscotch,maroon,red, ivory. And there's black/green and black/red combos.

Is there a place where the accurate colors can be viewed?

Just finished  this Companion up for a customer and etched his name in the blade. Scales are stabilized big leaf maple. Thanks again for looking and to those who have placed an order!

I generally always keep a neck knife around my neck whenever I'm hunting or fishing.  I use it a lot when fishing to trim line when tying on lures, cleaning fish, etc., and at least a few times a day for odds and ends when I'm hunting, whether I bag anything or not.

I bought the one shown in the top picture above, and plan to use it this summer, as I like it better than the one I've been using.  I also was a little put off at first by the fact that it hangs down, but the fit is secure and I don't think it's going to be falling out of there.  OTOH, it's easy enough to draw out of the scabbard when you need it.

I have plenty of beautiful knives that I will probably never use, but this is a practical knife that I plan to use every day when backpacking, fishing, or hunting.

Technology....the knack of arranging the world so that we don't have to experience it.

Thanks for your input,Dave! My reasoning for the upside down carry is to allow the user to draw the knife one handed if needed. If it was the other way it would require both hands to remove the knife from the sheath. It also allows the knife to be drawn away from your neck. Enjoy the knife and thanks again!
