I recently had made a couple of arrows just for stump shooting and finally had the chance to get out and shoot them this past Sunday.

 They are Beaman carbons .600  (skinnys) with an Ace Hex 145 gr followed by a Muzzy Grasshopper(20gr.) The carbon has an aluminum footing(1813) to keep things together...

   

Nasty looking,and almost is as big as a small bowling ball when you are making your draw.


   

Should be able to do some serious stumpin' with that setup, nice work. J

PS- what glue or epoxy did you use...  

Headed down to the bottom and thought this was pretty unusual,they like the wetlands,but in the middle of a creek?

   

Here was the first shot. The broken end of a limb sticking up in the air about three feet,

   

A clean miss, just off to the left. Those hex heads look huge. You have to look hard to see this one,the silver footing is to the  left of the stick.

All nice and punky orange,it even sounds like a vital shot when you hit it.

   

JB Weld makes a good secure bond. This next shot was a small piece of stump sticking up. The shot felt good...

 Maybe I will be able to get use to that big hunk of steel out there.

This whole area use to be farmed,and the soil down in the bottom is very rich. I wonder how many rows of corn this put down before it called quits?

   

 Notice the trees growing up through it.

I hunted close to this scrape this season,never had a shot. The year before I missed the same buck from the same location on two separate occasions.

 Out there a couple of yards was a piece of stump just behind the one that is horizontal. I try to keep my stumping in line with my hunting which is close. Every now and then you have to just let one go.
     

I did not miss by a whole lot,but I missed.

Heading north now up into some thick stuff. Not a huge rub,but it sure looked pretty in early March.

 

OK, I know I do not have to explain this one. Maybe 13 yards.

   

There is some brush in the way but I think I can snake it through.

   

 Ticked off of some of that brush and hit a little low.

The thing I like most about stumping is the things you see and find sometimes.
