Great find TJ. Looks like one to watch in the coming years. Can't wait for the snow to melt here so I can go look around and hopefully find some.

That's a beauty of a brow time on that up and comer!

Good find

Great find TJ!!

This is one of two, the other was a spike with an acorn...saw him, got pix, and then by some stroke of luck, found his massive 6" of antler on his right side. Don't know where those pix are though...

But I do have this one...

NICE Tom....it's a shame you don't have any NICE bucks!!   :bigsmyl:

KentuckyTJ

Curt, keep the hope. I have seen them disappear for a season or even two and show back up.

Allen, I am hoping this guy really blows up this year. He has the tine length and extras to make a really nice one.

Love the eyeguards on that shed Tom!!!

I had numerous pics of this buck two years ago...

Found his left antler on Feb. 5th and couldn't locate the right side. Figured somebody else had tripped over it...but then last spring it magically appeared not too far from where the trailcam pics were taken and no chews to speak of!

Great finds as well from everyone else...way too cool to find the matching headgear...I love it!

Found that shed Yesterday. The trail cam pic was from a year ago. The shed had been laying there for about a year. had almost no signs of weathering. Looked like it had just been dropped. No pics or sightings of him last year, I hope to run into him this Fall.

I have to ask how many acres you're sitting on.  The farm I have shot my largest deer on is about 400 acres.  I took pics of at least five of what I consider a "shooter" just this past season. Some were big 2.5 yo's but a couple are definitely older. I have found exactly 0 sheds from any of those deer.  Maybe they haven't dropped them yet but I'm sure at least one has. Point is, if I find a big shed, chances are I've never seen the deer. If I have pictures, or have seen it on the hoof, I never find its sheds. The food is here this year as its the first time in ages the fields have been in a cover crop. Super frustrating.

Kyle, deer are creatures of habit. If they are use to wintering in a different area they will keep going there. Make them feel safe and give them food and with in the next couple years they will start staying there.

kbetts

Weather is a bit different here than the Dakota's.  Food is literally everywhere almost all of the time.  Early season, I have them coming out of the woodwork.  Late season is so hit or miss. I keep missing. There isn't much pressure so I'm sure they feel safe.

Kyle, without seeing your place and the surrounding areas and knowing what goes on there it is difficult to say. But I promise you they are close to the BEST late season food source. Don't forget water they need that year around as well. Predators are also very active this time of year and high densities of them can disperse deer herds. We take as many off our places as we can.
