What do you guys consider a long draw length...29"?

Thanks.

I draw 30". It might be considered by some as long.

stujay

I'd say anything past 28" which is seen as the standard.

To me, 29" or longer is a long draw length.

I had been struggling with TP for a long time and a friend of mine recommended a clicker.  I ordered one and installed it on my bow and learned my draw length was 29.25".  Well, the clicker has worked like a charm after only a few shooting sessions and I can now hold my draw without any problems and am having fun shooting again.

To me, 30" or longer is a long draw length.

30+ is normal for me, any longer and it's a pain finding arrows and for the info's sake thing, I'm 5'11" and normal build. If your not getting the upper part of your draw arm fully behind you and in direct line with your chest, you aren't meeting your full draw potential and if will be much harder for you to hold at full draw without being compressed by the bow. My girlfriend is 5'8" and pulls her 43# Rampart to a smidge over 28" and holds it there longer than most.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

I'd have to agree that anything longer than 30 is a petty long draw and it's going to be s pain to find arrows that you can comfortably shoot. I draw 30" right now and I may be able to expand to 31" after I shoot more but I'm not sure if I'd want to...

More than 29, 28 the standard plus or minus one for minor variations. Over 30 a knuckle drager for sure.

28" for some reason became the industry standard/average.  I guess if you are over that it is long.

Agree with those that say anything over 28.

If your trying to impress the ladies 30"

Boy you got that right. I draw 31" with my Widow and 31.5" with my Border( the Border has a thicker riser from deep part of the grip to the back)and i have very few choices when it comes to arrows.

I would consider anything over 29" a long draw length.

"instinctive archery" is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

I draw around 30.5" and I consider that long. I can't imagine fella's drawing 32 to 33 inches...WOW!

I would think anything over the standard 28 inches.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

Michigan Mark

I guess that depend on how far south or east you are?

Im also a member of the 31+ club. Thats why my bow designs can be shot by long draw guys without stack.
