If I wanted to foot 2117s with another shaft what size would I need?
As we get older our bow weight goes down and our body weight goes up, One of Lifes little jokes.

If the 2312 is a too tight a fit, try 2314's or 2315's. They are a few decimals larger inside diameter.
Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm
not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

2314's and 2315's are smaller inside. They are all 23/64ths outside but the wall thickness is .014" and .015".That means their inside diameters are smaller than the 2312.

Or you could put a piece of 1961 inside the 2117.

I like the 1916 internal idea.

I have a few carbon cutoffs that'll do that trick too  :)

Good thread...got the cogs a turning...

Not trying to argue, but if all three shafts are 23/64" OD, the 2314 and 2315 would have a smaller ID than the 2312 since they have thicker walls.

Don't know much about this, but it seems to me that it won't make a lot of difference if you hit a solid stop(rock, tree, etc). End results will be a bent shaft?  :wavey:
stalk softly and carry a bent stick

The 2312's fit perfect outside...I know, cause I've done it! Footing on the inside / outside dosen't matter... they both work equally well!

JimB and Hermon are correct.  2214s and 2215s have smaller inside diameters than 2213s.  Been there.
