Just getting home myself,,, I drug up late today as I was not in a hurry to get home..... Wife out of town so not in a hurry...

Tired now but I will say to be a vendor at my first "modern"
Event was the best experience I could hope for...
Wasn't sure what to expect really but I had a blast and met a lot of great people.
Great to meet up with people I've talked to on here and very much appreciated the comments on my goods I had brought to the event...
Glad to see most trad guys like all OLD stuff like i make,,,LOL

Was also good for once to not have to worry about having everything not in the 18th Century out of site and hidden!!!! LOL

Thanks to everyone that came by to talk with me and buy things and just chat,,,

Awesome job putting on the event by Terry and everyone envoulved.     :notworthy:

Wish I would have had more time to go and spend time with some of the other vendors and shoot more...

I at least found a few minutes on Sunday to shoot my new Pine Hollow bow Mike Yancy made for me....     :archer2:

Awesome bow I will have to post about later..

Weather was great also... Wish it could have been a few days longer,, hated for it to end..

Man I'm starting to realize all the stuff I wanted to do there and didn't get to do !!!!!
Almost depressing but man it was a fun weekend!!!!

Someone said 500 people there!!

Well that may have been how many signed the book      :readit:

But there were far more including myself who didn't even KNOW there was a book to sign in and shoot so,, I would say from my experience with crowds.   There was three to four times the amount that were there that didn't sign or shoot but just was there!!!:

See I have some messages and some mail,,,, I'll get to in the morning,,, been long few weeks on the road,,,

At last count there were 510 people who PAID the entry fee and signed up to shoot. I suspect there were a few slackers who slipped in without paying to shoot or for a camping spot, sad, very sad that there are some people like that in our traditional ranks.

I have been to at least a hundred traditional archery events, all have been kept afloat year to year by the modest fees charged to enter the course. Glenda and I paid $27.50 each to shoot from daylight to dark from Friday morning until noon on Sunday, an incredible bargain in my book.

Glenda and I had a really great time. I got to meet so many Trad Gang people that I had never met in person.

I think there were a lot of people that had no clue there was a charge since it was a fun shoot and not a competition shoot..
I met several people that had no clue there was a sign up registration or a charge...

The people who honestly didn't know there was a fee charged to shoot the course should do the right thing and get a check in the mail to Terry if they shot without paying.

There is no such thing as a free archery tournament, competitive or non competitive.

One of my friends said a guy wanted to shoot a round with him. He asked the guy if he had signed in and paid to shoot, his response,"I am not about to pay $20 to shoot a couple rounds". My friend refused to shoot with him and told him why in no uncertain terms.

Here is the rate structure if anyone out there is honest enough to settle up with Terry.

If you want to shoot just one day, you can shoot as many rounds as possible for only $20.00. For $35.00 a single participant can shoot all weekend and $55.00 a family up to four can also shoot all weekend (over four, $5.00 per person). Now, Allsouth Archery Assoc. & Compton members get a $5.00 discount for the weekend rates.

On the other hand......I paid $55 for myself and 2 kids ( 9 and under) plus I am a Compton member to shoot one day. so hopefully there were some more shooters that Overpaid like myself to support the spirit of traditional archery and bowhunting.
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

Same here Joe. I paid $55 for myself and my daughter. Don't mind overpaying to support somethign as good as this event was. Thinking back, the fun and time spent with my family was more than worth the $55.
