Tomorrow I'm going to check out an old bear polar longbow I saw listed locally around here. The gentleman (a local collector) is pretty sure its late 50's. It's 50# @ 28, and I was told its in really good condition. Any details I should look for? I'm not really too familiar with them, but I always liked the look of the polars (except the double shelf ones). I did some searching here and found the thread about I.d.'ing them which should help. This fella is offering it for a good price, he personally prefers the more valuable bears/old Damon Howatts. I'll try to post pictures if everything goes well    :D

Can anyone tell me the value of an early 1953 bear polar longbow? everything indicates it to be a 1953, but it has the running bear graphic, so I assume that would be earlier in the year?

Might want to try this on the History/Collecting Forum. Good luck.
