Widow's Son

Was out today shooting my 3 Beman test arrows and all I can say is WOW! These things shot great even with the heavy wind we had today. My B.W. is 46# at 28" and the shafts are 500s cut at 29" with 200grs of total point weight. I tried carbons about 10 years ago and couldn't get them tuned to my bow. After what I saw today I believe I'm a convert. I tend to use newer "high tech" equipment with my BW and stick with vintage gear and wood arrows for my vintage
Bear bows. It's the best of both worlds. I can go "old school" or "modern" depending on my mood.

8.0 gpi I shoot them out of my 21st Century LoneStar. I've been pretty easy on mine but have been shooting them(original doz.) for years. No problems.

I just tuned my 500 classics yesterday. Bullets! Awesome shafts.

I hunt with them, they make my other arrows seem to light.

Mfx is my personal favorite.Good weight, tuff and small diameter helps to achive good arrow flight even on those windy days.

Love those shafts. Get some old 2020's and foot them witj 1" footings and you will loose way more than you can ever break.

huntnmuleys

my favorites too.  just cant find a reason to shot anything else...

Morning Star

I've shot quite a few different shafts over the years and those MFX are IT!  Best carbon on the market IMO.

IMHO-Beman has prefected the arrow shaft!

Bowwild

I've been a Beman MFX Classic fan from the time I shot my first ones.  You can skin the finish off of them in tight groups though. Of course that can happen to any shaft.  I shoot 600's and 500's out of 44-48# recurves with a 26" draw (27-27.5" arrow)

heartshoth

I shoot a 55# recurve...29 inch draw...like 250 gr up front..size suggestions for the mfx for me?

I LOVE the mfx 500 out of my 2 Holcomb kodiaks. one 47# one 51#, but my 43# and 44# bows love the same spine as well.....JUST A GREAT SHAFT!!!Heartshot...I believe I'd shoot the 400 spine MFX's for that 55#er ....especially with all that point weight. You won't go wrong with these....john

The MFX Classic now comes with 50-75 grain break-off brass inserts. I use a 100 grain brass insert in mine. Or, you can also use the standard aluminum insert that weighs in at around 16 grains, I think.
