I've been in the market for a while for a couple new hats for bowhunting.  I searched all over the Internet and finally settled on DelMonico Hatter out of New Haven, CT.  They've been around since 1908 and had a great inventory of hats made here in the U.S.A., as well as Italy (Borsalino).  I ended up purchasing two Bailey hats...the Packer and the Briar.  One nice option they had was for an extra $10.00, you could get a hat box to store them in.  I ended up purchasing two of the hat boxes as well.  Let me tell you,  they are a great place and have a friendly staff.  The hats arrived in no time and were shipped and packed perfectly.  The hat boxes were definitely worth the money for storage in the off-season.  Oh, one more thing...they had free shipping too.  These are the two I went with...

Just another great American business with American made products. I thought I would share with my fellow TradGangers.

Thanks Jason, Nice hats. I bookmarked the site for the future. I wonder if the hats really do keep their shape.
May your next adventure lighten your heart, test your spirit, and nourish your soul.

Thanks Ken.  I'll find out if they do come fall time.

I love wool fedora's for hunting and fishing. I am going to have to pick one of these up and give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

Great people to deal with, I purchased a Stetson Fedora from them, but like my Briar better.

Just wondering if you looked at the filson oil cloth hats?

It states Litefelt and 100% wool? Little confused on the word felt or does felt apparently = Wool? Tried searching out their definition and came up with Nadda   :dunno:

I too was confused about that once, but apparently felt can be made of different materials, one of which is wool.

I have a hat from another company that is almost identical to the first one.  I love it.  I have bookmarked the link.  I am going to need a new hat soon.  It always makes me smile to hear about an american company that is producing a great product with great service!

I already have a Shelter Cloth Packer Hat as well.  I love Filson products too...well, the U.S.A. made ones that is!   :)

I'm glad this helped some fellow traditionalists...that was my goal.
