Anybody know if the screw in Brown Bears are machined one piece like VPA's or are they glued up with adaptors?

amar911

They have the blade welded to the screw-in ferrule.

You select the adapter and glue it on.

Yes on the regular ones. I was asking about the ready to shoot screw in's.

Bjorn

OK I'm just going by what's on the website. Perhaps there are options not listed?

Look on the Abowyer site. They list ready to shoot ones at 260 grains. At that weight I was thinking they may be a one piece head.

I   think he uses this to make the screw in Brown Bears.  It would be a shame to have all that machine siting there and not use it.

I just looked over some of my carbon steel screw in BB and I cannot tell.  Here is a batch that was laying on the table one day when I stopped by.

I can say I don't care one way or the other.  Those broadheads are perfect and built like a Mercedes.

Steve O

I got out a magnifying glass...

It looks like the blade is welded to a solid steel slotted adapter?  It is definitely not a glued in insert on a glue on BB.

Best call the shop, you will get much better info from Dan or Larry.  I can tell you this, however they are made, they end up as one piece or stronger!

Yep,what Alan said. Abowyer confirmed it is a one piece head.
