What size shafts are you using?

You can search on here for shafts that will fit over your arrows and possibly foot aluminum with aluminum.

For stumping you can't beat aluminum footed carbon.

For stumping with aluminum you need a XX75 or XX78 and thick walled ones like 2219.But thicker walled aluminums can't get bent also.Want a really strong aluminum slip a 1916 inside of a 2117.It will be stiff and strong.Hard to beat a footed carbon shaft for stumping with glue-in nock adapers with glue-on nocks.

I've got a collection of stumpin arrows I've been making this Winter.

First are several 2117 FluFlu's. These have 3" of 1916's epoxyed inside the shafts. Then there are the regular parabolic fletched 1916's footed with 1" of 2117 epoxyed to the outside. All these arrows are very tough.

I've come to really enjoy the FluFlu's for stumpin.

Great tips.  I have not thought of footing aluminums with aluminum.  I have a bunch of 1916s and 2117s to try.  Thanks.

For years I've footed aluminums with 2,3 or 4" of oak dowelling epoxied behind the piont insert the length determines how much FOC I want ,works real good.

I know a 2312  fits perfect over a 2117.
