I've been looking at Georgia WMA website. The Ocmulgee WMA has four georgraphic components: Rum Creek; Sprewell Bluff; Standing Boy Creek; and West Point. Two of the four components have camp grounds and check stations: Rum Creek; and West Point. (If I have read it correctly.)

The other WMA mentioned, Oaky Woods, also has a camp ground and a check station.

Do we have a feel for which campground we will all meet up at? This will be quite a tent camp!

(I can't wait!)

Bob-

I'll email RC and see what he says. Jesus (Rushlush) and myself will be hunting with RC this season to get an idea of the property.

Hunted at Ocmulgee with RC a couple of months ago.  Plenty of hog sign, but I know how that can change with the weather and all.  RC might just up and kill 'em all too.  I am starting to consider this one.  The only Hill bow I have is my Rogue, and that is around 95# at my draw.  I would probably bring my toelke super D instead.

I will memorize RC's boot track. I have no hope of keeping up with Mr. Kelly!   :campfire:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

There goes THAT scheme!
I guess wherever he has been will be pretty OK.

Spreewill Bluff and those others mentioned are all a long way away and not a part of Ocmulgee WMA. Ocmulgee is plenty big ands Oaky Woods Bigger. These two are close enough together for a group of people to hunt both and meet back at the same camp ground. Ocmulgee does not have bath rooms if they do they have been doing a good job of hiding them from me.They may have some at the Lake on Ocmulgee but I`m not sure.
 Killy, I can`t keep up with Pat either.
 Ocmulgee has a camp ground near a pond that is kinda big I think it will hold everybody .It is right next to the check station so will be easy to find.A bright side to hunting here is it is mostly flat so a old feller like me can walk for days...RC

Thought I would post a few random pics of the place in no special order...

Hah! You are still the most dangerous creature in the swamp.  Nice pics.  Whatever made that rub has some pretty doggone high shoulders.

RC what time of year are the pictures and how recent. I hunt areas like this in SC at Ray's, but they have had a drought for 5 years. Everything is very dry. Has there area been hit by the drought to?

Thanks

For purposes of navigation, is this right next to Bonaire, Georgia? If so, looks like roughly a 7 hour drive for me.
