Whilst in Texas I met a guy who is willling to lease a ranch to me for one week of javalina`s hog`s bunnies and other assorted critters. The ranch is bow hunt only.
We would be able to take 12 people. It is 1200 acres and fenced. The accomadations will be in a 12 bed bunkhouse with seperate batheing and cooking facilities. We will have total run of the place and I`m assured it is teaming with hogs. There are several feeders set up that are ran year round. We will feed ourselves and my thought was to have everyone bring some food and we`ll make up a roster of who cooks and cleans etc, etc.
My vision is for a relaxed week with like minded folk acting like 12 year old`s with no adult supervision. The cost a present will be $675 for the week Sat. to Sat. obviously licenses and travel are your own look out.I will know this week the actual location of the ranch and will be able to email anyone a aerial photo of it plus the nearest airport

sounds like fun. Keep me posted. My friend, Dr.Jose' DeMoya might want to go also.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

Still askin`. I found out the nearest airport is gonna be San Antonio. I`d get with a couple or three freinds fly in and drive to the ranch. We`ll be driving from Florida if anyone wants to convoy.

I got a bunch of video from the ranch manager yesterday. Piles of pigs and good number of Javies. They also have some goats/sheep, black buck and I think fallow. I`m not sure about what he will have available over and above pigs, javies and rabbits but if ya don`t ask ya don`t get  :bigsmyl:

From what I can tell the nearest town is Premont, TX. in Jim Wells county. So I`ll leave ya`ll to figure out which airport.

My Texas map doesn't even have Premont on it.  I might be interested.  Keep me posted on it.

A little wandering thru the electrons tells me that a "non-resident special hunting license", type 107, will allow us to go for everything not native to Texas, squirrels, Javelina, and gators.  Not valid for turkey and deer, but the fee is only $125 according to their website.
Here's that URL:
