I went down to friends farm for some stumping today.

It was kind of cool looking at all of the maple trees being tapped for the making of homemade syrup.

God bless,Mudd

PS: I tried to take more pictures but I kept doing something wrong with the phone.

Thanks for the pics. Bet you don't break too many arrows on those "stumps".  :biglaugh:

Impressive penetration. Just curious, Mudd, what kind of heads are you using?

I suggest not biting your nails after pulling the shafts!

Roy, glad to see you are able to get out and do some shooting other than the back yard. I'm about ready to do a little stumping trip myself!

Although, I have to confess, we don't have many soft stumps to shoot into where I go.   :D

Tough pile, had to shoot it twice.

Thx for sharing Roy.

Well with that first pic, seems like it aint all about penetration this time, more about a "safe" arrow retrieval   :D

The woods was covered up with the sap buckets and I didn't want to take any chances so I moved out into the open pasture where I found an abundance of the cow-pie targets.

I could shoot about any direction and any distance. It was just about perfect since I never once had to consider if it was going to be too hard thus possibly ruining a precious arrow.

I also learned some valuable information while pie stumping.

The pasture is surrounded by large hardwoods and apparently the turkeys love coming out onto the pasture and digging through my potential targets.

Thanks for the laughs, I enjoyed reading your responses.

God bless,Mudd

PS; I refreshed my chew as soon as I knew my intended targets had to change from wooden stump to cow patties.

"What did you guys do today?" "Oh, we just hung out and shot the s**t!"

I say put that photo on a tee-shirt... I'd buy one...

Dont sweat them as long as the arrows didn't fly like crap afterwards, its all ok.
