Yepper I will jump on the Fred bandwagon, met him a couple times and heard him speak at the Kazoo Show several years ago. I think I own every VHS/DVD he has   :biglaugh:
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.

I read Fred's contribution to Traditional Archer Mag a couple issues back and one thing I thought was cool is he shoots under 55#'s for most N American game (I gathered he used something heavier for the bears?) and he is 6-2 and about 220lbs.
He also made a very nice explaination on why he came over to trad from compounds.

This is interesting. It's important to note his draw length is over 31. Giving his 54lb Palmer a serious punch. Pretty cool.

Actually he said he uses the same poundage for bears - and got a complete pass through on each one he's shot with the exception of a polar bear I believe, and he hit the opposite shoulder.  He has an article in some hunting magazine about using "comfortable" draw weight for stickbows and the effectiveness of this.

Fred does have a long draw, I think it was on MOBB-2 He stated he shot 54# at his draw length and he could handle a lot more weight but chose not to.

I wish he would post more like in years past, He never had a problem answering your PM's and gave solid advise.

Great Guy to talk too, Very humble and down to earth.

LONGSTYKES

He seems like the real deal. I would love to meet him and his wife. Every animal is a trophy to him a doe, small buck or a monster. He seems just as excited to be out hunting.

My thoughts exactly.
Having done so much, with so little, for so long, I can now do anything with nothing.

Fred is the reason i got inrested in trad archery. I saw his videos on youtube and i couldnt believe that trad gear was capable of taking such large animals and it inspired to get involved in trad archery

I met Fred and his wife Saturday at Harrisburg  Sportsman show. Chatted a while about turkeys    I'd share camp with him   :campfire:

Longstykes beat me to it.I think there needs to be more of that and less infesis on killing a "trophy".

A friend of mine (a compound shooter) shot my Buffalo with me one night and went and bought one of his own the next day - now he calls me all day long talking trad and asking to borrow Eichler videos    :jumper:  - makes me happy that I finally have someone to shoot with.
