I was going to order some Legacy arrows from a dealer for my wife and I, when suggestions were given to fletch my own, you know what, I will, it's been quite a long time but I am now looking forward to it. I will be using fletch tape, not glue, was wondering what are the most Fletch tape friendly Jigs in your opinions, thanks, J

Any decent jig, jo-jan jigs are a good option and usually not too pricey. Bitzenburger jigs are an excellent option as well.

I use fletch tape with my Bitz jig and clamp with no issues.

I won't say it's the best one out there, but I have a BPE pro fletcher I got from 3 Rivers.  Works just fine with fletch tape.

I don't think it makes any diffrence based on my experience.  I seem to drop the tape, stretch it, misapply it and etc. regardless of the jig.

If you shake like I seem to a small 3" vise to quick clamp in the feather clamp comes in handy to afix the tape to feather.

I have a Bitz.,a Grayling and a Bearpaw fletcher and have no problems with any.

Great idea Bowmarks because that is my problem too...shakes.

any jig will do just fine.

personally, and i know this goes against established veteran fletcher ideologies and sentiments, no one needs a bitz.  any polycarb fletcher will do yeoman service for a lifetime or two ... and you can get 2 or 3 polycarbs for one bitz.  check out the grayling, sold by braveheart archery - it's top shelf, does 3 and 4 fletch, is about the least expensive fletcher on the market.  yes, i have a few.   :)

you don't need a multi jig when using fletch tape.  Any single jig will work fine.  Just press the feather / tape to the arrow and move on.

I'm a big Bitz fan, but agree that most any of the fletchers will work fine.  Rob's Grayling does a fine job and the BPE is probably the most adjustable/versatile of all.  I like the Bitz because it is solid and the easiest for me to work with.

I have no experience with other jigs, but I went from 0 to full speed in less than a half dozen arrows with the Bitz, tape and Rob's video.

My only gripe with the Bitz instructions is that  they may be idiot proof but they are not written so as to thwart the truly determined idiot as I was able to disable the offset adjustment and put a backwards helix on them. It wasn't easy. I had it figured out by my third dozen.

And, whenever my wife says something I don't have a good answer for, I like saying, "Well, that may be. But I have a Bitzenburger Dial-O-Fletch!"

I use fletch tape and have no issues with my Arizona EZ fletcher, RW helical.

As you can see there's a large selection to choose from. No need to spend a ton of money.

Fletch Tape is awesome and once you get the hang of it you'll be fletching arrows almost as fast as you can shoot em!
