Seems like a Pronghorn might fit your style in a way as far as 3 PC longbows go.Stream lined riser, longbow locator type grip and mild R and limbs that are narrow and deep core style.Strings up in what looks like a D shape.Kinda light in the hand.Just a thought to mull over while chasing pigs or sitting under a gobblers roost.

I know you know this, but don't let pretty cloudy your eyes RC. It's all in the grip.  Try it before you buy it.  There are TONS of great bows out there and they all kill great and you can manage with all of them, but there will always be that one special one.

BTW, I'm partial to old 3-piece Custom Bighorns when it comes to recurves but am just the opposite and currently have a hankering for "that perfect LB".

Not a fan of 3 piece longbows, but the two I have fondled & like most are Pronghorn & Black Canyon. They are sleek & shot really well

RC,

I am fickle and shoot a lot of different 2 & 3-piece longbows.  These are some of my favorites.  Even though my FFly bows aren't in this picture, they are really great as others have said.

ACS CX and the Zipper SXT with foam/carbon limbs are probably the best performers. But my favorite is the Horne's bow (second from bottom) that I built with Mark during his 2-day bow school.

I can't wait till my Big Foot arrives to give it a try.  A lot of people also seem to love the Black Widow PL's lately.  Good luck in your decisoin.

One thing for sure is that I pity whatever steps out in your way, as it will probably end up as dinner fare. :archer:

For some reason I thought this was limited to longbows.  Here are a couple of recurves that I was fond of.

kbetts

Only owned one and it was a Sapphire.  Didn't like the grip but an awesome bow.  I've got a line on a Crow Creek so I'm watching this thread.....

Loved my A&H ACS CX, it's about the only bow ive sold that i wish i had back and im a recurve guy.

Light in the hand, easy to point and shot some of the my highest 3D scores with it. For the life of me i dont know why i sold it, just had one of those wild hairs i guess.

Thanks for the input guys. I`m not much of a recurve guy. Thought about getting a Buffalo by Hoyt but just could`nt do it. I love longbows. They are quiet and just plain cool...I would jump on the right Widow TF though....RC

Buckster, that's a nice looking lineup!!!!!

RC, if you like a traditional longbow grip I have to say a Pronghorn. Six arrows at 15 yards with a bare shaft buried in the bunch.
