Recieved this from Ed recently and just thought I would share it. It's a picture of a picture and a little blurry but you will get the idea.

60 years ago Ed took the  very first deer on the first day of Indiana's deer season, thats the first buck in the picture. He shot the second deer pictured with the same bow he did 60 years ago! If you haven't read his book you should it's a great read about the early days of bowhunting Indiana.

Thanks, I enjoyed that story. DI

That is awesome! I sent him a Christmas card year before last and he sent me his book,a cool dreamcatcher he made and a poem. He is a heck of a guy and one of the forfathers of Trad that goes unmentioned in my opinion.

That's cool. Archery is one aspect of my life that I can make simple and I try to keep it so. Way too many other complexities in life to complicate taking my longbow, some woodies with blunts and just goin' out and roaming with nature. Where else can you go and miss with a little "whoops" and still let your mind wander?
Thanks for sharing!

I wondered about Ed... I didn't see him at Cloverdale last summer and he's a regular... glad to hear he's still at it...
