sharpening taper tool blades?

does any1 sharpen the blades of there taper tool once there dulled down? i have the tru center taper tool and both my blades are dull and was wondering if i coud just resharpen them, so i coud do my hickory turkey arrows.

If you haven't nicked them up, remove them, place them flat on a medium to fine stone, bevel side up, like a planner blade, add a little oil, and move them in a small figure "8" pattern, with little pressure.

I'll have to try sharpening them that way, thanks for the tip Pepper.  Replacements are available from 3Rivers too.

The KME Broadhead sharpener comes with a straight-blade attachment for straight blades such as replaceable broadhead blades.  The KME works great on broadheads, so I assume that they will do well on the taper tool blades.

If that doesn't work 3Rivers has blades and the little screws for sale. Those Hickory shafts can be a bear to taper. I ended up using a friends Woodchuck tapering rig. I made 1 doz. hickorys for a friend and ended up not liking the experience.
