Slow down and enjoy life.  It's not only the scenery you
miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where
you are going and why.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

0ct. 1st here in Mississippi. I'll be hunting with what's on my signature
Genesis 27:3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison.

Jim, I'll be in D5, so I'll be starting the same as you. I'm going to try a new area in the Mokulumne Wilderness. At least it doesn't look like it's going to be a 108 in the shade for the opener.

SteveL, we will be staying at our cabin in Central Camp. Will drive out from there each day. I have several good places to hunt up there about 45 minutes from the cabin. Hoping for cool days. Should be in the 60's. Let us know how you do. Good luck to all this season. Shoot straight and be safe. Jim.

Jim Harris

Leaving in 15 minutes, season starts tomorrow morning. Good luck to the rest of you. Jim.

September 15 in Missouri. Every year I make sure I am off for opening day and the second day of season, kind of a tradition.
Last season I was tagged and out of the woods before it became too hot. Two years ago I drug a deer out in 91 degree weather. Not fun, but after waiting so long to hunt, its all good...
