This weekend is the annual antique festival at Bouckville, NY. I was just wondering (since the Misses and Myself are attending)is there any interest in draw knives? I have been successful in the past in procurring the above. This is in no way  a promise of anything, especially since they are considered antiques, but buys can be had!              

BTW we are going on Friday and this thing is huge!

I bought mine in an antique store for $11. They had others just like it for $65. You just never know what you will find. I would be interested in them.

I'm looking for one, (at a do-able price), Lee. Up 'til this year I saw them all the time at the flea market, and yard sales. This year I've only seen three, and they had the blades all sharpened away at the center, plus corn cob handles on two of them. Some woman bought all three to hang on her wall. Whatever.

Linc and Bernie I'll see what I can do. A couple of years ago A guy had a booth selling old tools. He had 3 of them I bought them all for $10.00 each. They were in real good condition,I kept one and gave one to a TG'er and sold the other.

At that price I'd like one too.  Keep me in mind if you come across a trove of them.

I want a draw knife as well.  I have looked on **** but don't know what I am looking at.  Are there certain brands or designs that work better than others?  Things to watch out for?

Don't really know if there is any thing imparticular to look for. It is more a matter of feel. First one I bought in a yard sale many,many moons ago for $7.50 and is my favorite. It has served me well and I hope it continues. I have bought 3 others but only kept one of them and use it mostly for hogging off wood.Just not very good for a light touch.

I'll be looking for 4 then! I might hit the jack pot or not find a one. That does save me from having to look at dressers and such.

I have seen archery related stuff, bows and arrows. For the most part is was "Very" high priced and mostly wall hangers.

Were pickings "slim to none" on the Draw Knives, LEE?
