Thanks for the participation. I also know some guys look and don't respond, so thank you to you as well. Today is bear day! Ok there will be a deer in there as well.

Not gonna happen for me. A little quartering too, and the sage is in the way.

Same thing quartering too, but a toad of a bear

Shot #3 Now the real fun. This is my ultimate dream hunt. But I'll have to be A LOT more confident before I go!

Here's where I'm putting the arrow.

I would have to wait for the front leg to move forward, then hammer him!

Shot #1 & #2 dito. Shot #3 & #4, if im not mistaken and of course i would study up and make sure before i went on the hunt, but a bears lungs are farther back than most so on shot 3 it would be about 6" back from your dot and the same place on #4 that i would pick on #3.

If i am wrong about the bears vitals then i would be with you on all shots.

Agree on all the no-shots. MAYBE I go a little further back on #3. Depends on if I've stooled myself or not

I would be a nervous wreck. I would agree with you, but I am not confident of where a bears lungs are. How big is the guides gun for these last 2 shots?

I think it depends on if you are going for a heart shot or a lung shot, Deer I agree the sage is in the way and first bear bad angle. I think in the doted photo I looks right on from the angle that the bear is at (could maybe be a little higher not sure how long that belly hair is. and it looks a little down hill), The last I would be a right at the top of that blonde tuft (longer s shaped hair.)

I will ive on the edge and say that #1 due to his body alignment he will turn his head to the right and then lay it in the shoulder at the top of the sage. as far as the bears are conserned I would have beeen lost in being so close to shoot, and I have no clue of the bear anatomy.

#1 i think the shot is very possible ,just over the bush.
#2 i think i would take the shot, in the little brown spot.
#3 the spot you picked looks good to me.
#4 in the blond area, hope i don't just pissem off though. :eek:

Yep, I don't like the angle on the mulie or the black bear. I like your shot placement on the big griz, and I would be putting wood in the air on the last griz, placing the arrow here:

I haven't responded until now but I have enjoyed your threads alot. I will voice my opinion on this one since there is a little more controversy here.

I would take the shot on the mule deer buck. I think it is a do-able shot just over the sage and following the front leg up.

On the black bear I would hope for another step or two in the right direction.

I don't think I would be ever shooting at a grizzly.

I think the bear #3 smells something he dont like ears are pined and his nose looks like it maybe working. but if he has not seen me I will take that shot. got to live on the edge... lol

I agree with all your shots and no shot.

While lossing an animal is a disappointment (and eventually a fact of life), I think I'd throwup if I lost that mulie to a poor shot choice.

I would take shot number 1...just over the sage and let my Simmons Landshark put that huge cutting edge to good use. Number 2 no shot...3 and 4 just scare me!

Looks to me like that mule deer is quartering a bit towards us and the near front leg is back. Not a good shot at all, plu he is looking right at me. . wait a minute for a few steps. Looks to me like that black bear is nearly identical in the way it is standing, a bit quartering toward me and near leg back. . again. . wait a minute for him to move again.

The last griz looks great, except for that leg. Let him take a step and you have a good looking shot.

#1: If he would turn his head, I'd shoot.
The SLIGHT quarter on isn't a bad shot and between the second and third grass tuft is a great spot.
#2: Gotta wait on this blackie.
#3 & 4: red dots look fine to me.
