Pretty cool. Any of you guys ever hunt around Kingman, AZ? My brother in law lives there. He lives just north of town in the Halipuia mountains. Not sure of the spelling, but have visited a couple of tines & have thought about trying to hunt there someday. He is not a hunter. Thanks.

I have never hunted around Kingman but have a friend that lives there and he seems to enjoy hunting the area with good success..... Terry

Hi Terry,
I know & have seen elk & deer on his mountain. Occasional mountain lion too. My brother in law said most of it is open to hunting. Antelope at the airport where his hanger is just out of town. From what I have heard getting tags can be very hard though. Not sure if that is true.

Cool video. Nothing like open country muleys..

In AZ archery deer south of the ditch is over the counter with no draw. The season runs the full month of january and the last couple of weeks in December. You would have to look at the regs to see exactly which units are open. Archery javelina also runs the full month of January. This hunt requires you to get drawn but has very good odds. You can also hunt a large variety of small game and quail with only your hunting license . Lion tags can be purchased over the counter.  ... Terry

Thanks for the info Terry. My wife & I both work full-time nights plus go to school, but may have to visit the inlaws next year during the break. We stay at their house when we visit.

I live in Kingman and know that the rifle guys do well in the Hualapais sometimes.  However, most of the folks I know usually hope to draw the sections around the Grand Canyon and south of Williams.
My daughter and I ride into the foothills on our Polaris Ranger and happened upon a really good dear around sundown the other day.
But I am happy shooting  at the giant jackrabbits.
