Shooting "Glove" recommendation

I've been using a calf hair tab for a while now, and shoot pretty good with it.  Lately, I've been having some shooting "issues", and nobody seems to be able to figure out what I'm doing wrong - my middle finger goes numb at the tip after shooting a few dozen arrows.  I'm shooting a 48lb bow (at my 27" draw), 3 under, with a calf-hair tab.

I was told that a glove might help - so I bought a cheap one - Neet - for about $10.  I should have known better - I hate it.  I can't shoot with it either, and I've been trying for a while.  I was told to try a better grade glove than the little hard leather model (finger tabs only with a little bit of elastic on the back of my hand, and a elastic / velcro strap.

Anyone have a recommendation for me?  I think I would need a large size.

All the best,
Glenn

I think Alaskan makes a good glove.  I like the one with Cordoban leather on the tips..
Damn Nice guy

I had a similar problem.Fingers were either going numb or getting calased from alot of shooting. On advice from this forum I bought a Big Sot Elk Skin glove from American Leathers. Its thick enough for good finger protection and allows you to release as smooth as a tab.tradrick

I'll second the big shot  i shoot fairly heavy bows and it seems to do the trick for me.

If you like tabs better you can get a cordovan leather tab.It is thick very smooth leather.

I like a superglove with cordovan tips.good protection yet you can still feel the string a bit.

i shoot tabs alot and you may need a thicker tab for more protection of the nerves and tendons etc.You may want to try a deeper hook on the string as well if your not using a deep hook allready.

Super glove. Good release and it protects my sissy fingers  ;)

Thanks Steelhead, but I'm trying to avoid ordering from 3Rivers if possible.  I'll try the other one, as well as the manufacturer.
