I've got a buddy who has a bow with a 1/4" W by 1 1/2"L @ 1/8" deep(if that)splinter missing from the back of the bow.
We think it could be an old Shakespeare. The only mark on it is a stamped in S.
I know it's hard to say without seeing it. But, I'm wondering if any of the bow-gurus  have any ideas about repair?
It's a right hander. The piece missing is about 1/2" in from the left edge (held in shooting position) and about 1" above the 'sight window'.
With the narrow to wide-going up.
I'll try to get some pics when I catch up to him.
