I am looking to try carbons.
Currently I have 2219's cut 30.25", standard insert, 36gr point adaptor and 125gr points. These shoot well.
What should I look for in a carbon? I would like to come in at 600 to 650grs. I have the supplies to foot them with aluminum if needed.
Thanks in advance.
Curt
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him.      Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.

Deflection of a 2219 is .337, so guide your choice accordingly.  .340 should do it nicely.

Thanks George. Any recommendations to get the weight I am looking for?

You could get the weight's that are available from the distributors such as Three Rivers or Kustom King, etc.  Carbons are inherently stiffer overall so you could also frontload them to add weight.

Remember, that carbons are a different animal. Even though the deflection may be close or the same, the carbon arrow will not react to the shot the same  as aluminums as the carbon recovers from paradox quicker. Shawn
