My new 68", 73@28 Howard Hill Crocodile arrived today. Thanks Joe, she is a beauty!

Was not sure I was going to like the Osage since my other longbows are Bamboo but now that I have it in my hand I do love the colors. Plus the weight of the Osage makes the bow feel more stable when shot, might just be in my head but the bow draws very smooth and is very pleasant to shoot. The additional poundage will take a few shooting sessions to settle into but it was definately not as surprising as I anticipated to step up 10+ pounds.

I strung her up within 10 minutes after snatching it from the USPS lady and headed out back. I only had one arrow at first so I could only fling one at a time but it shot right where I was looking.

After preparing two more arrows I shot my first 3 arrow group.  think me and this bow will get along just fine! Arrows are 85-90# spine Chundoo cut to 30" BOP with 260 grains up front.

Awesome bow! I am lucky enough to have won a new HH longbow thanks to Ozbow and Ben Maher, and it is definitely going to be a Crocodile. I am often amazed at the difference in spine one archer uses compared to another. With my 75# @ 28" Wesley Special, I shoot 95/100# 30" BOP Douglas fir with 160 grains up front. It's amazing what our muscles can do when we put our mind to it. Good shooting! Very happy for you.

Very nice! I love the full draw pic. There are few things in life as beautiful as the simple, graceful lines of a Hill or hill style at full draw.

Ben, they may be a bit underspined. I had purchased these arrows for a slightly lower poundage bow. They appear to fly well but I have not truly attempted to tune them. I had time today to shoot a total of maybe 10 arrows.

Slick bow you shoot right! Great stuff Steve. Gold in them thar Hills!

Well, if they seem to fly well and hit well, and then your broadheads hit the same, then it'll be the right combination! I'll be interested in what you find. Some of us have noticed that there seems to be quite a range of suitable spines for a given bow, despite settling on one that we prefer.

As a former owner of that Croc, I will testify........ It is a shooter!

I love the added weight the Osage provides. Plus, the 68" just adds to the smooth draw.
