Must have been a good boy this year. Santa came early.
I tell you this Allen Boice "Edge" is a real keeper. It has yew veneer limbs with yew cores. I've shot longbows with the foam core limbs, bamboo, etc. The yew with Allen's r/d design stores energy evenly as you draw the bow and it is really a quiet and quick bow. Yep, I'm lovin' this bow.  The bow on the left is Allen's "Contender". It has a mild r/d design with the same veneers and cores. Right now the Edge has a slight.......edge! haha

Nice David. If that contender isn't getting any use, send it south hehe

Ryan, it's only allowed short visits....no permanent relocations...   :goldtooth:

How does the Edge shoot in comparison to the Contender?

I have a contender and love it....

Is the edge faster?

Blessings and Merry CHRIST-mas...

Nice looking bow!  Looks like a real shooter too.

Kituwa

With that much R/D it looks like it would be a rocket launcher. Beautiful bow!

With a healthy dose of madness and bad memory, life`s a wonderful journey

Steve,
I love both bows. But the Edge is a "rocket launcher". It just seems to be a quicker bow without any difference in the hand.

Allen has created an English and Chief for me.  Great guy with pride in all he does- shoes in every bow in makes.  Hope to shoot that Edge someday
Cast a long shadow-you may provide shade to someone who needs it.  Semper Fi

David if you let it visit, it won't want to leave because it will get shot a bunch LOL!  ;)

Nice David!  I never handled one but have only heard great things about his bows.

Merry Christmas!

Allens bows have always been my reference point when it comes to quality of build. I do not believe anyone, period. has more quality in their workmanship/ Perhaps they approach it but not better. If there is human perfection in craftsmanship he has it.
This design is worthy of that craftsmanship. I bet it is excellence in every way.

BTW David, My son flipped over his new arrows you made.

God bless you all and Merry Christmas, Steve
