I can tell you Tim called me and sounded like a little kid on Christmas morning. Tim was blown away with his whole experience with Dan Toelke . To hear Tim this happy about a bow is very impressive to say the least. I guess my present to him will have to wait until next year.LOL

Ok folks here are my thoughts on the bow and bowyer.  Dan is first class and has a huge passion for archery.  When you guys call him plan on being on the phone for some time. He asks quite a few questions about your shooting style, how you grip the bow, how you position your fingers on the string, etc.  He wants to know as much as he can about how you shoot a bow.  He than provides you with his thoughts on what type of grip, what length bow and how the bow should be tillered.

When our conversation was finished he filled me in on what he thought would work for me.  A medium low grip, a 60" bow and an even tiller.  When I received the bow it came with two strings both having silencers already installed and a nock point already tied on.  All I had to due was string it up.

The bow tuned extremely easy.  All I had to do was find which spined arrow fit.  I ended up with 28.5 inch 35/55 Gold Tips and a 200 grain point.  Dan's brace height suggestion of 7" was dead on, as was his 5/8 nock point.  The arrows tuned perfectly and I was shooting a bare shaft at 25 yards within 15 minutes of stringing the bow.

The overall finish is perfect, not a flaw that I can find and both the limbs and tips are dead straight.  Dan requires a trace of your hand so the grip fit me perfect.  The shelf is designed to place the arrow right on top of your index finger, so it points very easy.

The bow is pretty dainty and light in hand.  Mine has micarta and I attached a Great Northern quiver right away to give it some mass weight.  The riser does have a thumb rest that centers your hand every time, no hand movement at all.  

The bow is QUIET, extremely quiet.  It comes with rubber silencers already on the string that I trimmed down quite a bit.  The bow needs very little silencers of any type.  It's just a quiet design.  I'm shooting 50lbs and my arrows are 485 grains just to give you an idea of grains per pound of draw weight.  

Performance wise, I was impressed. The first few shots I thought, wow, what a quiet bow.  It seemed pretty quick and I saw nothing but the nock headed down range.  I moved back to 40 yards and was suprised, very little arrow drop.  I headed back in the house and plugged in the chronograph      , yeah yeah I hear you!!  

So here you go:  50@28, 60 inch bow, 485 grain arrow. 179 fps.  You decide whether or not it's fast.  I've had quite a few bows and I was impressed.  I do realize every chrono is different so I use it more as a comparison to the bows I have or have had.  If you want some comparisons against other bows pm me.  

I tried to get home in time to take some outside photos but it was already past prime time so you'll have to settle for inside shots.  ENJOY!

I have been know to shoot a right hand bow now and then....do you think you can keep it till the Baltimore shoot??              

Maybe I'll just need to take a road trip after hunting season ends.
