I switch between the two.  Right now I am using a Black Widow tab.  For hunting I like a tab, because I can keep it on my finger when putting my climbing stand.  I have fear of not being as ready as possible.

The most important thing is to shoot what you have confidence in.

I tried out both before I finally settled on the Big Shot Glove by American Leathers. The only tab I really liked was the Fred Eichler tab that Three Rivers sells, I get just as clean a release with the glove though and find it to be more comfortable. Everybody is different though, go with what works for you

Tried a Dura-Glove this year and really like it compared to a all leather glove. I tried a tab a couple years ago but just didn't care for it

Really tried tabs, but decided they were not for me. Finger stall type glove has worked just fine for a few decades.

i just doesn't matter what you use, or don't use, for string finger protection.  

even more so, it doesn't matter what anyone uses.  

and no matter what anyone sez works best for them, only you will know what works best for .... you.  so borrow and try out as many different kinda string finger protectors as possible and use what works best for .... you.  

Love the Dura Glove, just switched from a tab 2 months ago when I changed to three under.  Have great confidence with the glove.

I use a tab.  Partly because they were easier to learn to make for myself, mostly because it's so easy to rotate the tab around to the back of your hand and pull arrows, climb to your treestand, etc.  

Mine are home cut out of the thinnest, stiffest leather I can find.

I use a glove with cordovan finger stalls, i have found the cordovan leather to be the least effected by wet werather. Ive tried a tab a few times just did not like them, granted i most likely did not give it enough time but it always felt like i was trying to hold something in my hand as opposed to the glove feeling like part of my hand, JMO

I have a whole box of tabs and gloves. Almost 30 years shooting wheels, I never shot a release. I like cordovan. And I really like just about everything Bateman makes. I switched to a Bateman tab this spring but I cut the middle layer of leather off. I understand they now make a single layer of cardovan. But I am now shooting the Neet Traditional Glove. I need to try the Bateman. If you try the NEET just remember that the fingers are very large. I normally wear XL in gloves but the XL NEET was way too big and the L is almost too big. The NEET is very adjustable and 100% leather. The fingers are leather with cordovan tips sewn on.

I shot a glove for years and gradually foune my fingers going numb. If I used a glove thick enough to stop the numbness I lost control. Now I have been using a Cavalier cordovam tab for a couple of years and it works great. A little awkward at first but very durable and gives a consistent release.
