Well its going to be a Longwalker. The wait begins!

Not 100% on wood combos but will include hardwoods native to Indiana (why should you Michigan boys have all the fun   :D   )

More pics to hold me over would help.

Congratulations Rob! Both great bows. Chuck will do a great job for you. Do you have a favorite Indiana wood to get your list started with?

owlbait,
I always thought persimmon would be cool but will have to talk to Chuck.

Walnut, Elm, and Sycamore are on my list.

I haven't seen a 2 piece but Chuck is a great guy to deal with. I would give him a call and see if he offers that as an option.

He had some really cool spalted sycamore and some great walnut. Persimmon might be interesting. I'd like to see if Chuck can pull that off!

I also have some spots full of sassafras. I have no idea if it would be a good bow wood but thought it would be something different.

Can't tell you which to choose but Chuck is a very solid guy.

I read that sassafras was used as a selfbow wood years ago. The sassafras I've seen in veneers was pretty light colored and plain looking. Maybe stained?
