Took a short walk yesterday to check on a few trail cameras I have placed on the dairy farm. The cameras had seen any action so I thought I would walk the property and look for some additional locations to place a few more. Like always I had my Super Necedah with me so I could get in a little practice and unknown ranges. While walking a row of trees that forms the separates the hay field from swamp I came across the unmistakable sign of another successful hunter, black feathers littered the ground.  Among all the feathers I noticed some small bones picked almost completely clean of meat, which usually means a hunter of the avian type.  As I continued on my way I couldn't help but follow the trail of feathers just for the fun of it. The "trail" of feathers was only about 40 yards long and then I found what was left of the unlucky pray.  I really enjoy being in the field this time of year, with just a small skiff of old snow left on the ground the tracks of various farm country animals proves that mother nature is alive with activity and just being out there in the middle of it really helps my attitude this time of year. And any time spend in the field with bow in hand is always a plus to me.

Good looking cover on the farm...sounds like that swamp area would be great for hunting with your bow.

Cool! Thanks for the story. Those orange feathers would make a awesome wind indicator on your bow!
