I'd like to hear about the differences in the two ACS longbow limbs that Dryad is offering.  I know the obvious material differences, but what about the speed, noise, stability, durability, etc...  I'm thinking about jumping into the world of ILF with a set of these, and a metal riser (not sure which one yet).  Thanks for any info...Mike

Mike,

The 4G and CG limbs are as you said the same but with different materials.  As a result the CG (carbon/glass) limb is 6-7 fps faster then the all glass limb.  This amount to about adding 1 1/2 inch of draw length in performance.

Thanks Mike, any difference in noise levels between the two?  What length is recommended on say a 17" riser with a draw right around 30"?

While you're answering questions Mike  :)  I'd like to know how the different length risers effect the weight of a bow?

It's mentioned on your website something about +8 pounds (can't remember exactly) for certain risers.  For the slower people like me  :D  could you please explain this further?

Cheers

We haven't noticed any difference in noise between the two limbs.  Both are quiet.

I have a 30 1/2 inch draw and shoot longs on my 17" riser.  John shoots the same setup on a Dalaa 17".  So I would recommend longs.

We try and rate our limbs and risers so that people in the ILF world can calculate the wieght gain or loss.

Our limbs are rated on a standard 19" riser and our risers create a 3-4 pound gain on our limbs.

If you are using limbs rated on a 25" riser they gain 8 pounds on ours.
