I agree Robert - great stand.

A local sports shop was unloading all their treestands to make room for the new model year. All stands were selling for $50 regardless of what they were. I bought two LW hang ons and one LW climber, total cost = $150. Now that was a deal!

The LW hand climber stand is about the slickest thing I ever seen.

I have a Lone Wolf top and a Loggy bottom. I will someday own the bottom.You can't beat that hand climber.

I picked up a LW handclimber back in '07 and wish I had discovered them a lot sooner.Great stand!

How can you tell by looking if it is a USA or not?

I am pretty sure the 2010 models were the only ones made in China but check with Whip, he will know for sure.

I have heard of folks using the bungee to connect somehow to the seat and allow it to fold up out of the way and remain at height on the tree.  

I cannot figure out how??  

Can someone post a pictoral on how this is done??

Wrap the bungee around the tree crossing over the gripper band in the back. It's gotta be tight. You can flip up the seat without it sliding down the tree.

To do this you would have to unhook the tether straps that attach the seat portion to the stand. Not a great idea because the platform could take off down the tree if it somehow loses its' bite.

I still have my original...but this year I'm hunting with a very special newer model...

I know the 2010 models were made in China....but you still couldn't buy this stand from me for anything....the stand was Chris Surtees'... and was passed on to me by his Dad Larry...means more to me than I can describe, I don't care where it was made!

Never hunted out of the LW climber...I have the Alpha with sticks and by far, in my opinion, the best on the market!

I've been hunting with the LW climber for about 12 years now and I love it; just ordered the Assault Climber, more compact and lighter.  Can't wait to take it out on a long hike hunt. I hunt with trad bow only and shoot sitting down and found the LW climbers to be the only one that works for me.

If something happened to mine, I would order another one tomorrow.

I got one under the tree from 3Rivers.  

Agree with others, not perfect but the best there is at this point. I have packed/unpacked and climbed within spitting distance of deer without alarming them.
