Hey guys and gals, been looking for a quiver old my trad gear.  I have a huge backpack that fits all of my stuff, except it is made out of what I would call parka material and not quiet at all, nor is it suited to stalking animals. I like the look of a bare bow, and have been looking at some Rancho Safari cat quiver backpack/quiver combo's. I like the fact that the arrows are easily reachable, and also the backpack part is fairly small and also fleece covered so it would be quiet! Does anybody have any experience with these, or have any other brand they prefer and y?

I used a Catquiver II for years. I didn't care for bow quivers until the small EFA quivers came about. Traded off the II.

I still have a VII I'm keeping for that rare occasion I'll be in the mountains or a day long stalking hunt.

Rancho products are well built. Have never had a problem with either one.

You might also look at the Safari tuff line. They look like a arrow vault.

Check out Tim's Absorkee Quiver....Farr West Leather.  Great product and works with any combination of packs.

CQs are good; I have had a couple of them over the years. However, since I found the SafariTuff, that is my go to quiver. If you carry different length arrows, like blunts/broadheads/field points, you may have loose arrows plunking around in a Cat Quiver. I managed to lose a few arrows when hunting with mine after they just fell out. But CQs are well made, and their various pack sizes are useful.

I had a Safari Tuff quiver for a while until I figured out an on bow quiver suited my hunting style better.  

The Safari Tuff  line up is fantastic - holds a bunch of arrows, super quiet fabric, and I absolutely loved the small pouch on the Arrowmaster, held all my basics for the day and kept the weight down.  I'd recommend it to anyone looking at that style of quiver.

Just started using a Cat Quiver I and love it.

The safari tuff does look very nice, I was just looking for something where the arrows are a little more easily reachable. With the arrowmaster I think I would have to open the compartment in a hurry, just worried that would make too much noise

I have never had a problem with noise with Rod's quiver, and the best thing about the quiver is how easy it is to get to the arrows.

Hey Centaur- is the safari tuff quiver you are speaking about open on one end so you can retrieve the arrows quietly? I just saw the pic on my phone, I may not have had the best look at it! Really appreciate all the feedback guys, it is helping more than you know
