ill have to try that in the light. i was using the porch light. but does it sound right at 12yrds. i know the heavy arrows will be lower @20 but the arrows grouped together left to right. dont understand thought the 50/55 would be to weak. was told i needed 65 or 70 spine wood for this bow. the guy i got it from said 35/55 full length shot great. i read about heavier tip thats why the 160 for the 70# set
im confused to say the least but im learning.

Bows are a lot more accommodating to spine than we think.  Most will shoot a range of spines well.  And wood is more forgiving than some other materials.  I'm not surprised that both spines shoot well out of your bow. It's not really uncommon. Most of my bows will shoot woodies well with as much as a 20 pound spine difference.

very interesting

these 3 sets of wood shoot good out of the longbow
old bear 50/60 @30 478gr. 125 head 9gpp
poc 50/55 @31 494gr. 125 head 9.3gpp
poc 70 @31 617gr. 160 head 11.6gpp
im using the old bears for hunting.
with the light green bear razorheads
i read abot the gpp and think like a few of you on here if it shoots better use it sharp
the bow is r/d newer longbow should be fine at 9gpp. i hope

I agree. The longer yardage will "tell the tale" if and when differences arise.
