Anybody see any during gun or bow season?I saw on small flock of11 twice during bow.Haven,t seen any since.Don,t even see them in chopped corn fields.Wondering whats happening to the flocks.I can remember when nomatter where you went they were every where.I think all the foxesand coyotes with a couple wet springs put a hard impact on them!!!

We've had a wet climate this year also, and plenty of fox and yotes, but there are turkeys everywhere,
Go figure ?

Don't know if you saw the news about the turkeys on Staten Island, the people can't even come out of their houses for fear of being attacked. I love it, now they'll want a turkey hunt but the anti's will fight them in court, like they did the bear hunting in Northern NJ. They just killed an 800+ pounder up there, yes that is a Blacky.

The turkeys have taken a pounding around here with a few wet springs, a rough winter last year and all the fox and yotes but I have still been seeing quite a few.

Like every year they seem to vanish, onece in spring and once in autumn. I have been seeing groups of them the last few weeks after a month long disappearing act. A worse predator than any canid is a raptor. I have seen redtails take and attempt to take poults in spring. Yotes kill them too but for sure the birds kill a mess of them. I've also heard of great horned owls taking adults off their roosts st night, have never seen that 1st hand though.

Almost had a flock in October when I was waiting on a deer. 12-15 came through at 30 yards but no good shot and they were moving to fast. Theres alot in my area just too many hens so they never gobble in the spring!

We've got plenty down here in Westchester.  Folks have been seeing nice flocks regularly all season.

I saw about 8 right before gun season in the Adirondacks.  That was it.  None over here around Parish.

You guys got alot of turkeys in the Dacks? My Uncle has hunted turkey in the Catskills (Gun)and said it was good hunting but this was back in the 90s. Id assume with the snow you guys get there would be more winter die offs?

i was BLOWN AWAY at the number of turkeys i saw today and they were high up on a beech ridge.  yes there is a pretty big winter kill on the turkeys in my area. also had saw a bunch this spring, most in a long while.

I've seen about 50 or 60 during bow season but none close enough for a shot. closest I would say was 35 yards, but farther than I wanted to "try"

No acorns in my area this year. Didn't see my normal groups during bow. Saw 4 last weekend, the first I have seen in 2 months in the woods.
