Has anyone attempted to craft their own on-bow quiver? I've been playing with some plans of my own, but would like to see what others might have come up with.

I cobbed one together from a Screaming Eagle bowquiver. attached the hood and the gripper to a homemade frame. I dont use the bow that I made it for anymore so its in the basement somewhere.

A friend made me a couple of these, one for 3 blade heads, and one for 2 blade heads.

Mine is similar to the one posted above.  It is for two blade heads and uses zip ties to tighten the leather straps to the bow.   Works great.

Made this one from some broken aluminum arrows, leather, faucet washer, foam flooring material and maple.  Computer power supply rubber strap comes in handy to secure it on the bow.

awesome, and varied quivers all. i usually just like to use a solo stalker on my bow.
so i would certianally like to see some more pics of shedrocks quiver setup.
maybe that will ease me slowly into a bow quiver type approach  

Definitely some great work. I too, am interested in seeing more of your shedrocks setup. I'd like to keep any diy quiver to a two or three arrow setup. That said, Ming's got to win the award for McGuyverism. With the faucet washer, you have everything, INCLUDING the kitchen sink! Jim, what's the icon on your hood?

I have been wanting to come up with a very light and simple quiver to hold two arrows. That way, when I stalk I just have one on the bow and it is very light and unobtrusive.

I was thinking about trying to put two film canisters - the small black ones for 35mm - together to hold the 3 blade broad heads. The only thing is I don't know how to attach that to the bow or how to hold the other end of the arrows.  

I think it would be a very simple system and ultralight.

Three of my bows carry a variation on this:

1/2 a Selway Piggybacker and a broadhead sheath (this one a Jack Bowers Solo Stalker).  Makes a one-arrow bow quiver.

 

 


Only once did I have to drag two deer out at the same time, never again.        (I carry the rest in an open-top side quiver).

Not a bad idea but the canisters may not fit over some of the broadheads out there.  Been there, tried that...

I shoot 4 blade Magnus Stingers even though I mistakenly said 3 blade.  Those, as you may know, have  a two blade main and a short bleeder blade.  These may work a little better than a three blade in the film canister.
