Im with centaur, both in occupation and mindset. Without dishonest idiots, id be out of a job, and it is an awful shame that some of them filter into a site like this that is 99% great folks. Its always the 1%ers that mess it up.

The one and only time I've been stiffed, I started a custom order knife for a gun dealer in Germany. He agreed on a price, but I had to leave on a reassignment back to the states before I could finish it. When I had it done, I called and asked if he still wanted it at the agreed upon price. My wife was traveling back to Germany to visit family and she carried it with her. The guy offered her half the price we agreed on "because the market in hand made knives has fallen off". I told her not to let him have it even at double the agreed price and to bring it back. I still send stuff before payment arrives and others do the same for me. Makes me feel good about society and I figure being burned once is just a "heads up" not a reason to give up on other's goodness.

Jon, look at it this way.  You did right.  He did wrong.

You may not get your stone points, but you did keep your honor.

That really sucks I hold TG in such high esteem with respect to the honor of fellow TGers  everyone I have dealt with have been great. Sad that a person would take advantage of that and give nothing in return.

Jon Stewart

We can put an end to this for now.  It happened. 99 1/2% of the people on here are OUTSTANDING.  The owners have their hands full keeping and running a tight ship.  It's just little crap like this that burns my tail.

I t happen to me to and it sucks! I really wish people like that wouldn't wast our time and generosity like that!

There seems to always be a bad apple. but i do not hear near as many of them on this site versus other ones ive been on. Thanks to Terry and the rest of the of the mods we can still have a great place to spend our time.

Jon, If you still need a couple stone points, please let me know.  I didn't knapp them, but a good friend of mine did.  They will do to hunt with.

If a man can't stand by his word ,to me he has nothing. He definately doesn't deserve to be on this site with the quality of people we have.

I agree, but there is a post on the traditioal bows page about a bad deal with a gentleman that has over 3,000 posts.  It can happen with anyone.

IM a fan of public lynching of these types. Lock 'em in the stocks in the town square, and bounce judo points off  their foreheads, elbows and kneecaps. That should correct the bad behavior.

The old "100 posts or more" rule only applied to bow sellers.
