A guy on here who has only 19 posts wanted some antler as he was a new flintknapper. I pm'ed him and told him I had a box of antler and would send him some for a couple of stone points and the postage for the box.  This happened on Nov 21st. Haven't heard from him and don't even know if the antler showed up. I tried to send him a PM and ask him if the package showed and he has put me on the ignore list.

What to do?

dont let 1 bad apple ruin the whole bushel for ya
just chalk it up as stuff happens
and if the individual was looking for something for nothing. then what comes around goes around

Sorry to hear that. I have never had any dealings with anyone on Tradgang as far as sending or recieving anything, but I would not hesitate to as everyone on here in general has a great personality.

I hope it doesn't end this way but prepare anyhow. We would like to believe the best in people, especially T/Gers but it's inevitable the day will come and we will be disappointed in others actions.Best wishes.

Thats why we should never deal with anyone less than 100 post like the old rules.

I understand there is not anything that can be done but that was a low rent thing to do.  I pride myself in helping people out when I can and if he would have asked I would have sent the antler for nothing.  But putting me on the PM ignore list shows that he did it intentiantlly. Anyone want to know who it is PM and I will let you know so you don't get taken from this guy.

I have been around here for awhile and this is the first time.

its a bad deal that some people are like that. I dont know how people do it or why they do   :dunno: . what comes around goes around. There are still some good people out there to deal with.

Post his name on the bad dealings list, I would want to know who it is so it doesn't happen to me or anyone else.

Thanks

It just shows how good of a guy you are Jon.  Don't let it get you down.  There are them types all over and once found out, they get moved out.  Just like society in general.

Thanks for all you do with Camp Cuervo and in the MLA as well.  See you in a couple short months.

Like so many folks here on TG the users here are fantastic. Jon is tops among us. Especially for all he does for our troops and archery in general.

Post the user who jipped Jon to the Hall of Shame.

Jon,
Guys like that were who gave us job security when we were 'on the job'. Sorry that they are here on TG, too.

That is too bad, wish I could knap, I would send you a couple of points!  Anything could have happened, could have lost points in the mail, etc. but for him to put you on his ignore list tells the real story!  Can't stand dishonest people, just aint no sense in it

Terry Green

I found him Jon....let me know if he ever gets back with you.

No matter how protected and blessed our community is, it is still made up of people.

Don't lose site of the extreme vast majority of whom are truely your brothers.

Note: Many of us would give 1000 fold over not to be on that list.

It seems that in todays world communication as well as commomn curtesy has gone out the window. When I deal with someone I like to communicate what I have done on my part of the deal as soon as it is done as well as acknowledge when I recieve what the other party has done. I had the great pleasure of dealing with a member from here just last week on a quiver;comunicated that I had sent payment via Priority mail and he was kind enough to package up the product and ship it the next day before recieving payment. Made my day that he trusted me. Some folks just don"t realize acknowledgement is a kind gesture.
