I think I have found one of those spots that is going to be great year after year.

Got to the tree this afternoon around 3. At 4:15 while texting my wife I hear a stick snap in the bedding area thicket in front of me. A few minutes later I catch movement. Hey it's not a squirrel. The doe came down to the fence and stood for a second then jumped it in the same spot the doe I shot last week did. She came down the well worn trail and gave me a perfect shot at 10 yards. I stretched the string on the Black Canyon Recurve and picked a hair. The VPA ripped through her and she was off. She stopped behind me about 40 yards coughing and fell over. It was over in mere seconds. Really liking these broadheads. This bow is 49lbs @ 28".

Since I saw her tump over I got right down to retrieved my arrow, gather my trail cam card and headed to the truck.

I didn't figure anyone would ask so I didn't weigh this one. Haha. I actually prefer this size much better, they aren't as difficult to get out of the woods.

Congrats again!  I knew that stand would see lots of action!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

VPA's are an awesome broadhead, I knew you were gonna grow fond of them.

Cool pic of you pulling the arrow...did you get a pic of the deer as well?

I guess lowebow is getting behind on that bet???
Do or do not.  There is no try.

Thanks guys.

Curt there was one but deleted it from the card though. I only keep the buck picts so I can match them up from year to year.

KyKiller - He is David. He is on his way up to Detroit with his wife today. I sent him a text picture of the deer with "I'll take some New Castle Brown Please". I can't type what he wrote back. Haha. I love it.

Nice. I have a "money" stand that I have been hunting for close to 10 years. It's a doe spot all the time and a good stand for sitting all day during the rut.

I like the pulling the arrow shot.

Oliverstacy

Is that stand rated for people my size?  Where exactly is that stand?  When do you work your normal job?

Nice job!
