well, I guess my hunting season has come to a halt for 2011, as yesterday evening, I was returning home from an uneventful sit at a stand not far from my house, when right at the edge of my yard, the unexpected happened! My foot sliped on the soft,wet ground and down I went cleanly breaking the lower left leg  :(   I've been vegging on the couch today waiting for the swelling to go down and tomorrow, I'll be getting the dreaded cast. Guess I'll have plenty of time to catch up on my reading     I should have shot the plump doe last week

I'm there with you for the next several weeks. SI joint injury in my lower back last Friday. Looks like I will be back in the game before you though. Heal up and get back out when you can. Sorry to hear it.

Awwwww man that sucks.  I hear ya though, messed up my elbow good. I'm not out but limited. Hope you at least get some relax time....sharpen some knives and broadheads, oil some leather, etc.

Hope you have a swift recovery! I wouldn't say your season is over though I have a friend who broke his leg one year so he just hunted from a groundblind.

Give it a few days to start feeling better and try a ground blind. I had to do the same thing when I was younger. On the other hand if you can make it to the woods that shelf in the bathroom will be a piece of cake.     Good luck on speedy recovery
